KKL secured the dismissal of an indictment filed against Roman Boss, the founder and operator of Cryptonator, an early global cryptocurrency exchange.
On January 25, 2024, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Florida and the Computer Crimes and Intellectual Property Section of DOJ’s Criminal Division secured an indictment of Mr. Boss for allegedly operating an unlicensed money transmitting business and conspiring to commit money laundering. When Mr. Boss retained KKL, Mr. Boss had been arrested and detained in Italy and was awaiting extradition to the United States. Following KKL’s advocacy on behalf of Mr. Boss, the DOJ moved to dismiss the Indictment. On March 30, 2026, the district court dismissed all charges against Mr. Boss.
