Patricio Martínez Llompart represents individuals and institutions in criminal and civil matters, with a focus on white collar criminal defense, internal investigations, regulatory enforcement, and complex civil litigation.

Patricio has represented clients in connection with investigations and litigation conducted by the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), and state attorneys general, including the New York Attorney General. He has also represented clients in appellate litigation before the U.S. Supreme Court and various U.S. Courts of Appeals. Patricio has experience in matters involving allegations of anticompetitive conduct, insider trading, fraud, bribery, and violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA). Originally from San Juan, Puerto Rico, Patricio is a native Spanish speaker, and his pro bono work has focused on impact litigation and policy advocacy on issues involving Puerto Rico and the other U.S. territories.

+ EXPERIENCE

Prior to joining the firm, Patricio worked as an associate in the appellate and white collar groups at Covington & Burling LLP in Washington D.C. He also previously served as a law clerk to the Honorable Beryl A. Howell, then Chief Judge of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, and the Honorable Juan R. Torruella, Judge of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. Before law school, Patricio was a deputy advisor for public safety and justice to the Governor of Puerto Rico and an Urban Fellow at the New York City Police Department’s (NYPD) Office for Collaborative Policing.
